ok this is really random, but whatever. last friday, when i was going home for lakeview's homecoming game, i had to stop at the gas station for gas. there was a girl on the pump opposite mine. she was pretty cute, and as she was driving away, i noticed that she never took the handle from the pump out of her gas tank lol. all i could do was point and make a noise that kinda sounded like "egghh", and half a second later the hose was extended as far as it could go, and the handle went flying about 8 feet in the air & slammed against the cement about 2 feet away from the pump. at this point the girl stopped, ran back to put the handle back, and closed up the tank & everything, and she was either crying or laughing so hard that she was crying, either way her face was bright red. it was hilarious.

anyway, today i ran for the first time in i don't know how long. it was awesome. i jogged over to the outdoor track & practiced doing hurdles for awhile cuz i gotta run them in the IM track meet tomorrow (later today technically). it felt so good to do the hurdles & go running again, even though i was dying when i finally made it back to the house. so that was good.

eecs sucks. i left for the library around 9ish, expecting to be back around 1 at the latest, since i had to do 2 things that said right on them they were supposed to take 2 hours each. i ended up getting back to the house around 3:30, partly cuz the pre-lab i had to do was ridiculous and it wasn't explained well at all, and partly cuz i was talking to people. i ended up driving dick up to north campus, he's still there right now & i guess he's staying in the media union all night until his 9:00 class on north cuz he's nuts like that.

anyway, it's like 4:45 am & time for me to sleep.... good thing i don't have class for another 10 hours or so.

since the metallica/godsmack concert was so AMAZING, and since the girls of 424 michigan are demanding it, i decided to update my journal. in case i haven't told you, which i think is highly unlikely, tonight was the night of the METALLICA concert, one of the greatest concerts i've been to yet. great cuz they played fade to black (which they didn't play at the last one i went to), master of puppets, seek and destroy, one, the non-orchestrated version of no leaf clover, turn the page, and many other of my favorites :). also, the energy inside the palace was so high, and my throat hurts more from all the yelling than after a michigan football game, which is very commendable. it was just simply amazing. godsmack was great too, although i don't know why they played i stand alone as their finishing song instead of awake, whatever or voodoo (all three of which they played at other points and all three of which were awesome).

my sis couldn't go, so joe roybal ended up taking her place. it was great hanging out with joe again for the longest time in awhile & talking to mindy when we picked him up.

time for coney though, so i'm done

apparently some people actually want me to update this thing and i have a few mins to spare while waiting for chris and his slow self to get here.

just got back from supreme chapter - awesome. spent 3 nights at the doubletree in south carolina. the people were awesome, the food was terrific, and almost all the girls were absolutely gorgeous. definitely got excited about the events happening within the fraternity and looking forward to hopefully doing the journey of hope in '05 or '06. our chapter won 2 awards - the award for having the best intramural sports program out of all the chapters (after all we were the all-year points leader in IMs and had the athlete and manager of the year at u of m), and the

the styx, peter frampton, and nelson concert was AMAZING! nelson wasn't so amazing actually, as one guy standing behind me said as he got to his seat and saw that nelson was playing "aww we got here too early". peter frampton and styx were incredible though, it was such a great concert, it's definitely among my top 3 favorite concerts that i've ever been to.

if anyone was wondering why my profile said "hugo" in it for no apparent reason, sit down and read the story behind it... for those of you who know what's going on already, and you have a hugo shirt, we should have a hugo reunion type thing some time over the summer. anyway, the whole reason this whole thing came up was from a conversation the other night with some of my parents' friends. here's the story as it happened to me...

awhile ago, scott ward bought a car from some old lady running a car dealership from her house. the lady didn't have the key to the trunk, but that didn't really matter much. so a few weeks went by and scott decided it was time to get a locksmith so that he could actually use the trunk. a short time later, after school one day, he shows up at my house and says "hey cramer, want a free shirt?" i had no idea what was going on, but it turned out that some guy named Hugo was apparently the previous owner of the car and did not feel the need to remove his personalized work shirts (or a couple of his friends' with other names) from the car before he handed it over to the old lady. so scott ended up with about 20 of these shirts, the button up collared type shirts that mechanics wear to work. so we (being scott, rick, hank, brandon, steve, brett, russel, andrew, and myself, along with a few others i may have forgotten) wore the shirts to school the next day and a few other days throughout the rest of the school year, which we dubbed "Hugo days". apparently this was possibly the only semi-trend we started in high school, as many people began asking who had these shirts and where they could get theirs. i still have the hugo shirt, it quietly awaits the triumphant return of the hugo days in my closet, which i have been told by my sister, are still proudly being carried on by andrew at the high school.

so who's up for a hugo reunion?

am i really that greedy?

Sorry for the recent lack of entries, haven't seemed to be able to find the time to sit down & do this lately with all the work, but midterms are over, all my work for the rest of this week is done, and SPRING BREAK IS FINALLY HERE!!! Well, almost. One more boring calc lecture to go to and I'm done until March!!! Definitely looking forward to going to the frat tonight to catch up on some much missed and much needed time hanging out with the Pi Kapps. Also looking forward to Saturday at Michigan State seeing all the people that I miss so much that I haven't seen in such a looong time!!! I can't wait! Spring break is gonna be awesome minus the term paper for sociology 303 and assignment I-2 for engin 100 that I have to start.

This week is going to suck. Not only do I have assignment I-2 for engin due Thursday for which I'm supposed to spend 5 hours observing an informal learning space, then 6 hours writing a paper on it and 8 hours doing a concept map with over 60 boxes, I have to read two articles for it and write my weekly journal. Our team in engin also has to pretty much finish up T-1 this week, which will take up a ton of my time. The presentation on T-1 is due next Thursday already. I have a physics exam Thursday that I have a lot of studying to do for, a quiz on all the readings form the past 3 weeks on Friday, a math lab to do that will take anywhere between 3 and 6 hours, on top of my 19 hours of class this week!!!! I have no idea how I'm gonna do this. I guess this is what I get for wanting to be an engineer at U of M....

tonight was great. went to the UGLi with my roommate, lacey, sarah, & ashley. had to go to the computer lab to do some engin stuff, but then sat down at the table with them to try to do some sociology. didn't get a lot of it done. i was laughing too hard pretty much the entire time between lacey calling me an "UGLi virgin", my roommate almost running into a pole, and ashley throwing lip gloss at andrew and completely missing him. i was there for an hour and managed to get a total of 3 pages read. we were on our way to panchero's afterwards when sarah said "ashley, watch out for tha..." as ashley slipped on yet another manhole cover. we got to panchero's, got our food, and sat down just in time to see 2 drunk girls fall on the sidewalk right outside, breaking a heel of a shoe, & taking 5 minutes to finally stand back up. one of the girls came inside, then went back outside into the street and fell again halfway across. on the way home, ashley & sarah started pushing each other, then tried tackling each other without either of them falling. ashley pushed sarah into the mound of snow next to the street, making sarah chase after her ("watch out, barbie, weiner dog is coming after you!") and tackle her. my roommate and i decided to pick ashley up & throw her into a huge pile of snow, but we let her go cuz we're too nice to do something like that O:-). sarah shoved my roommate, who then pushed her into the snow without any gloves on, but luckily we were almost back by then. as we walked back into west quad, my roommate slipped on the metal piece under the door. that was about 20 minutes ago. it's 3:10 now, time to get some sleep.

yeah if you are wondering about the song - ashely, sarah, lacey & my roommate managed to get it stuck in my head...thanks guys.
last night was great, but unfortunately i didn't get any good pics. saw a bunch of the i kapps at kappa sig & the party on walnut street. after we got back my roommate dragged me across the street at 3:30 in the morning to try to find his gf even though i told him numerous times that she was asleep. he wouldn't give up though so i finally agreed to go just to shut him up. so after walking across the street in the freezing cold weather & walking up 4 flights of stairs, we finally made it to her room. she was asleep, of course, so the entire trip was completely pointless.
just got back from working out with sri at the CCRB, it felt good to finally work out again after being so lazy for so long.
my sis should be here in a couple hours so i'm looking forward to that. she decided to come up since i told chris to come, but he said he had to go to some cheerleading competition that it looks like he's not even going to anymore haha.
anyway tonight will be awesome & hopefully i will get some good pics like the hilarious ones from the last pi kapp party.
